The depiction of human feelings is essential to the expressionist-symbolist works of Norwegian artist Edvard Munch. Following a nervous breakdown in 1908, Munch produced the series of lithographs entitled “Alpha and Omega” while staying at a psychiatric clinic in Copenhagen.
